To mark the exciting launch of Super7 Bingo, we caught up with the team to discover the story, inspiration and challenges behind the classic game.
Check out the Q&A below with tombola's Game Architect, Graham, where he reveals what went into creating Super7 Bingo and the moments the team loved most during the creative journey.
What makes Super7 Bingo different from other games on the market?
There are a few things! Firstly, we have some new prizes not available anywhere else! The Two number prize is going to be a great way to give a lot of players a winning experience. Also the new Jackpot is so exciting. Extending the Jackpot window will give more players the chance of winning it.. . but the quicker you win it the better!
Did any feature evolve significantly from its original idea?
The biggest evolution in the game was the theming. We wanted to make sure we made this game fun for our players. We went through a number of different themes before we landed on the one we have. But it is well worth putting the time in because I think the game looks fantastic.
What was the most challenging part of designing the game?
The most challenging part of the game was balancing it to fit our players in the UK. Making sure it is a great experience for everyone at tombola.

The game is inspired by a traditional Italian bingo game played at Christmas Called ‘tombola’ which dates back to 1734.
What feature of the game are you most excited about?
I am most excited about the Escalator Jackpot. It is something we have never done before at tombola. It gives more people the chance to win a jackpot but it is also an opportunity to get some really big jackpot wins too.
What is your favourite game at tombola and why?
My favourite game has to be bingo60. I love how you get the different-sized tickets and using the different dabbers is always fun.
