The I'm A Celebrity Final...
10/12/2024
It’s the grand finale of I’m A Celebrity 2024, and the campmates are taking on their last trials, sharing heartfelt goodbyes, and indulging in their favourite meals. Here’s your weekly recap:
Friday 6th December – Episode 19
As the series neared its end, emotions ran high among the campmates. Danny admitted he felt excited because you know you’re near the end, but the other half of me would be ecstatic to see my wife. Meanwhile, it was revealed that Barry and Maura were the next celebrities to leave the jungle, leaving the rest of the group feeling devastated.
Later that day, two celebrities volunteered for the next Bushtucker Trial, titled “Dreaded Dregs”. The trial had a party theme and involved drinking challenges. The contestants competed against each other, with the loser facing a forfeit. The first round, “Spin the Bottle,” selected Coleen, who had to drink “Boar’s Light” made from blended pig’s testicles. Despite the gruelling rounds, the campmates succeeded and secured all six stars for their camp.
After the trial, the celebrities were surprised with emotional visits from friends and family. The reunion was a heartwarming moment, topped off with a celebratory six-star dinner featuring wild boar ribs and a drink of their choice.
Saturday 7th December – Episode 20
Two more celebrities left the jungle, leaving just four campmates remaining. That morning, the final four received exciting news, they would be participating in the famous Celebrity Cyclone Challenge.
With superhero names and poses, the group headed to the trial area. The challenge began with the celebs spinning on a giant twister before plunging into a water trench. Their mission was to retrieve four large yellow stars. The first celebrity had to place their star on the first marker before passing the next three stars to the second celebrity, who would advance to the second marker. This process continued until all four stars were securely placed on their respective markers to win for the camp.
Chaos ensued as Coleen chased after stars washed away by the rushing water. Danny made impressive progress until a massive wave swept all the celebrities out of position. With just five minutes left, Danny made a final push, jumping into place and securing all the stars for camp.
That evening, the group sat around the campfire, enjoying their meal and reminiscing about their jungle journey.
Sunday 8th December – Episode 21
In the final episode, Oti was voted off, leaving the three finalists to compete for the crown. After cheering and waving goodbye to Oti, the remaining campmates returned to camp to prepare for their final challenge.
The three finalists faced the Towers of Terror, their last Bushtucker trial, where they had to complete two stages to earn their final feast.
In the first part of the trial, they were positioned on different levels of the first tower: Coleen at the top, Danny in the middle, and Richard at the bottom. Lying on their backs, they had to pass stars one by one down through the tower to the yellow win zone at the bottom. Adding to the challenge, they were joined by snakes. Despite the pressure, they completed this part within the ten-minute time limit.
They then moved on to the second, larger tower for the final part of the challenge. Once again, they were positioned on three different levels. Each had to release star pieces from their section and send them down to Danny at the bottom, who assembled them into a puzzle to secure the stars. As always, they were pelted with fish guts, spiders, and cockroaches as they worked through the trial.
The team successfully won all the stars and earned their final feast, which featured mozzarella sticks, spaghetti Bolognese, and profiteroles.
Later in the episode, after a tense wait, the public cast their votes for their favourite campmate. Danny came out victorious, earning the title of King of the Jungle! Congratulations to Danny!
